An ekphrastic poem after Tania Bruguera's Tatlin's Whisper #5

move 	 	to the right
mind		        your children 
shift		        left five steps
walk		towards the exits
scatter 		        don’t
scare	        don’t
run		         remember to
breathe	         please, 
stay 	         six feet apart 
stop		        don’t
touch 		the horses

Tatlin’s Whisper #5 is a performance piece by Cuban artist Tania Bruguera in which visitors to the Tate Modern were moved around the space by mounted police officers.
